  The Matrix is a very famous movie trilogy that was known for its fresh & ground-breaking style. The impressive style and work was made possible through specific filming techniques. I will be analyzing the opening sequence of in the first movie of The Matrix as shown from the video below: How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film?  The title of the movie, "The Matrix" is shown once, after displaying Warner Bros. Pictures & Village Roadshow Pictures. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  Images of code floating down the screen, symbolizing the code of the simulation that is the Matrix, which is a very important aspect of the film.  What connotations do the images carry?  Negative connotations, as the code is the tool that is used to control the simulation and the people within. The Lord Of The Rings Franchise is known for its amazing camera work and film direction. We will analyze the title sequence depicted in this video:   How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? The title is shown only once, almost at the immediate beginning of the film. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  They introduce the forging and division of the Rings of Power along with the backstory and events that lead up to the movie which is the main purpose of the whole film. What connotations do the images carry?  The images bring a negative connotation since the opening scene feels mystical and foreboding. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset?  The genre of fantasy is obviously reinforced  through depictions of magic and fictional beings like elves and orcs, and magical objects like rings of power.
