About Me!

Hello! I'm Daniel Lapidot, a 12th grader in Everglades highschool. I love to learn and I'm very creative! My favorite subjects in school are science and engineering. Often times, I visit the engineering room and use the machinery in there. Like the Dye-Sub heat press, which is used to press ink designs from paper to fabric, allowing me to design my own T-shirts and jackets.
I enjoy meeting up with my friends to do fun activities like playing basketball, video games, and hanging around. Working out at the gym with my friends is always fun and I do it often. My hobbies range from gardening and cultivating my own plants, to programming and making music, brewing my own teas, and even hand crafting my own line of soap bars officially known as DANBAR.
I decided on joining AICE Media Studies because I feel that film is a very powerful tool that can be use to convey a story and emotions. If I learn how to analyze, understand, and eventually replicate filming techniques, I may use it in future projects and even enjoy movies more now that I understand the process and difficulty it takes to produce them. I was also interested since I've been watching these visual effects artist on YouTube called Corridor Digital, and they do amazing works with filming, directing, and their visual effects. Their work inspired me to learn more about the art of film, so that's another reason why I've decided on taking this AICE class.
