Final Project Mood Board
For this blogpost, I will be showing image that make a mood board for my final project that gives viewers a good idea of what the film would feel like. Here are some examples:
The first part about the mood board are the characters. The image shows two characters, one character obviously being followed by a suspicious character. The premise is to follow the protagonist, being the obvious character, as they are gradually pursued by this unrevealed character in a sinister manner.
The mood board shows off multiple locations & settings, like roads, cars, and houses. Based on these images, it takes place in modern urban society. Each photo being in a separate location shows how the characters will be traveling between each setting. The idea being that the film starts on the road, and eventually ends up in someone's house.
There's simple costumes that help convey the mood of the film. For example, the protagonist is wearing normal streetwear since it fits the occasion. The other character is wearing black or dark clothes to help blend in with the darkness of the surroundings. This helps bring out the horror and suspense aspect of the film.
The lighting in the mood board is fairly consistent. Low-key lighting and dark ambiance is what sets the mood for horror and suspense. The dark lighting also helps set up the Mis-en-scene in an easy manner since viewers will only look at what it lit up in the scene.
There will be a few props, but one obvious one is depicted in the mood board. The kitchen knife is a prop that aids the horror mood of the film. In contrary however, another prop is a cake knife, which doesn't fit into the genre but makes sense with the direction the film goes in.
this need more pictures to give a complete idea of the mood!
