Time management for Film Project

 In this blog post, I will describe how we managed our time for the film project and how we scheduled our work flow.



    Coming up with our time management and scheduling meetups to work on the project was a little difficult since we all had homework to do and jobs to work. We had to find days that all of us were free to meet up since all of us are necessary in the filming process. We eventually picked out a few days and we did our best to get there on time.



    Luckily for us, all we needed to meet up for was filming our project. Everything else like editing, planning, and paper work would be handled either in class or online over a video call. This way we can reduce the struggle of finding time to meet up in person. I do wish we could've fit more time into filming because we wouldn't have to rush to find good material, we would be better prepared, and we could have multiple takes on shots we wished to redo.

Fight scenes Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a very impressive movie, but one of it's most entertaining aspects are its action scenes! Sound Story

       This is our Foley audio clip along with the video of where the sounds came from. The process started off with how we could make a story using the environment around us, which at the time was school. Thus, our story would be a student packing up and walking to a classroom. We created this mostly with noises that come from common objects, like zippers, papers, and pencils to symbolize a school/work environment. We made sure to record very closely with our microphone to capture the best quality of sound in a secluded area to isolate the noise, and to make all the sounds loud so we could lower their volume in post.      The first attempt at editing was difficult because we had to find a decent video and audio software to splice the audio and visuals together, we. Five Shot Video Post

This first shot is an extreme closeup of my partner. I held the camera very close to his face to focus on his eyes throughout the scene. The purpose of this shot is to emphasize the facial features and emotions the person in the video as he acts through the scene (i.e. gradually opening eyes and changing posture) This shot is a low angle shot of a person walking down the stairs. It was slightly difficult trying to capture the angle but it was manageable after a couple times. The purpose behind this shot is to distort size, making the viewer seem smaller than the subject swiftly moving down the stairs, and the subject appears to be moving quicker than they actually are due to the low angle. This is a medium-full shot of a person sitting on a bench. This was relatively easy, as the only obstruction was the glare from the sky.
