Updated Storyboard

 In this blogpost, I will show pictures and detailing changes made to our storyboard that our film fitted a lot better.


    Now for obvious reasons, storyboards are supposed to be the prerequisite to films, but we had to make our storyboard off of imagination without having concrete knowledge of the environments we would be filming in. Despite this, our film did follow the actions of the storyboard very well, so it's not like we made a different film than what was portrayed in our original storyboard.

    I will make a brief list of changes we made to our storyboard. For our first scene, it's a change in environment to mimic the actual place that we actually recorded at. We also changed the hard cut to a fade-to-black and we went in for a wide-shot instead of an extreme wide-shot.
    Second scene highlights the cars, in which it started off by following the character and changed the position of the cars leaving. This was used because the parking lot wouldn't allow what we previously had in mind. The secondary character does not have their face in the mirror of their car because we didn't want to reveal the identity of who it was.
    For the garage scene, we switched from a POV to a long shot since it would be difficult to film the scene with some obstacles we had in the environment, like additional cars that weren't supposed to be there.
    For the final scene, nothing much changed except the addition of some brief comic-relief dialogue and the title sequence.

Fight scenes Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a very impressive movie, but one of it's most entertaining aspects are its action scenes! Sound Story

       This is our Foley audio clip along with the video of where the sounds came from. The process started off with how we could make a story using the environment around us, which at the time was school. Thus, our story would be a student packing up and walking to a classroom. We created this mostly with noises that come from common objects, like zippers, papers, and pencils to symbolize a school/work environment. We made sure to record very closely with our microphone to capture the best quality of sound in a secluded area to isolate the noise, and to make all the sounds loud so we could lower their volume in post.      The first attempt at editing was difficult because we had to find a decent video and audio software to splice the audio and visuals together, we. Five Shot Video Post

This first shot is an extreme closeup of my partner. I held the camera very close to his face to focus on his eyes throughout the scene. The purpose of this shot is to emphasize the facial features and emotions the person in the video as he acts through the scene (i.e. gradually opening eyes and changing posture) This shot is a low angle shot of a person walking down the stairs. It was slightly difficult trying to capture the angle but it was manageable after a couple times. The purpose behind this shot is to distort size, making the viewer seem smaller than the subject swiftly moving down the stairs, and the subject appears to be moving quicker than they actually are due to the low angle. This is a medium-full shot of a person sitting on a bench. This was relatively easy, as the only obstruction was the glare from the sky.
